Can I pre-order a bag?

We don't take pre-orders on bags. The primary reason for this is: we make all Ragmaw bags in St. John's and if one team member becomes sick or is injured, it will change our production schedule and likely halt orders... a logistical nightmare if pre-orders have been placed.  Anything that you see and/or purchase from our website is already made and ready to ship out!

The bag I want is sold out! Will it be back?

We re-stock our website every Thursday evening at 7:30pm EST (that is, 9pm NL time).

So every Thursday at 7:30pm EST,  you will see new bags in our online shop. You will also see 'sold out' items come back into stock. If you are awaiting a particular bag, it's best to check in on the website then.

Currently, we don't make a weekly plan of what we will make. During this uncertain time, we may shift to production of PPE or we may continue making bags only... we just don't know and we're taking it one day at a time.

One thing you can count on is the Thursday evening update!

I can't get a Bottle Bag! Why?

This is definitely a good question and let's give you the details here:

* we make a batch of Bottle Bags each week

* we list them online, for purchase, every Thursday at 7:30pm EST

* historically, they have always sold out within 15 minutes

* if the Bottle Bag page is showing all products as 'sold out,' it's because they're all sold

* but don't worry, we are going to make this style for as long as we can

* tune in every Thursday evening at 7:30pm EST on the dot for best selections!

Do you offer a pick-up option?

Currently, we do not offer any pick-up options.

Normally, we do!  During the COVID-19 pandemic, we will not offer any pick-ups. Shipping only, in order to best protect our team. We are aware that our services may be needed for PPE production and, if that is the case, we want to be in our best form.

Can I reserve a bag?

I ordered a bag online but it hasn't arrived. Why the delay?

Such a good question.

We have a great relationship with Canada Post and we know they're working hard to keep things moving.  Almost all deliveries are delayed at the moment but our customers are keeping us posted and saying that, eventually, their bags are arriving!

*When you purchase a bag online, it is automatically set aside for you.

*Then, it is shipped on either Tuesday or Thursday.

*When it does ship, you receive an email with the tracking information so you can follow its progress

*All bags ship via Canada Post

How do I buy one of your bags?

We are primarily an online operation when it comes to sales. We do make all bags by hand, here in Newfoundland. Our team consists of skilled workers at our studio site and at other production sites within our province.

When it comes to purchasing a bag, you can get one directly from our website! Browse our online selection (it's always up to date), add your chosen bag to your cart, and proceed through checkout as with any other online shop.

You can pay securely by credit card or PayPal.

Remember, our online stock always reflects what we have on hand:

Out of Stock = sold out but may return

In Stock = made and ready to ship out

Once you place your order, don't worry about a thing... we'll take it from there and we'll always strive to give you the best customer experience.

Currently, we don't sell our fabrics but we're working towards it!

All of our fabrics are designed by Megan and are copyright of Ragmaw Design House Inc. 


The images on the fabrics are hand-drawn by Megan (with a pencil and paper, old school!) and then digitized for printing onto various materials.

I've heard about your 'support local' program. What is it?

That's a good question!

During the COVID-19 pandemic, so far, we have been continuing to operate online, sending bags across Canada.  As long as we are able to do this, we have committed to including a complimentary gift with each order.

This gift will be a product that we purchase from a craftsperson, 50-100 pieces from each vendor, in our local region (the Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland).

Ragmaw will purchase this gift for you;

* to support our local community during this strange time

* and, to say thank-you to our customers

* it's a win-win

This is totally uncharacteristic of us; normally, we respond within 24 hours.

However, lots of things have changed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. These changes are not permanent.  Our support staff will return after the pandemic and speedy responses will resume.

Instagram allows us to reach lots of people at once, we love that.

Megan will be doing videos throughout the week as well and you can always let us know if there's anything you'd like to see her talk about. She has plans to share big news with you soon about a charitable donation AND she's also going to share a design diary for two new bag styles soon.
